Use of CMT656 drilling system
The CMT656 drilling system is designed for making corner joints for furniture elements with dowels,
for boards from 18 to 45mm thick, or with 40-50-60mm screws, for boards from 18 to 30mm thick
using a hand, battery or power drill with the CMT400-1 or CMT400-2 adaptor chuck. Thanks to the
carefully studied design of the drilling bush, a wide range of drill bits can be used for drilling holes
for dowels with various diameters. The CMT656 system increases the quality and precision of dowel
or screw joints. The entire system is based on the use of the drilling template with the adaptor chuck
on which a drill bit with HW cutting edge is fitted. Thanks to the simple construction, maximum preci-
sion of the drilling template and adaptor chuck, it is possible to obtain precise dowel or screw joints.
Making a corner joint takes about 10 - 20 minutes, depending on joint size.
The following are required to use the system:
- Electric and cordless drill
- CMT400-1 chuck adaptor
- CMT400-2 chuck adaptor (holes for 40-50-60mm screws)
- Blind hole bits with Ø8mm shank
306.080.11 _ D8x30 S8mm bit for HW CMT400-1 dowels (blind holes)
307.050.11 _ D5x40 S8mm bit for HW CMT400-2 dowels (blind holes)
307.070.11 _ D7x40 S8mm bit for dowels HW CMT400-1 (through holes for screws)
