Shade level selection
Adjust the shade level by rotating the SHADE knob. To select the proper shade level, please follow
the "Filter shade selection" table.
Delay time adjustment
Delay time can be adjusted with the DELAY knob, affecting the time for which the ADF stays darkened
after the arc extinguishing. The MIN / MAX values correspond to 0,1 - 1,0 s.
Sensitivity adjustment
Sensitivity setting affects the intensity of light that activates darkening of the filter. darkening of the
filter. It's recommended to start welding with sensitivity set to HIGH first and then to slowly reduce
sensitivity to the point where ADF reacts only to the welding arc, ignoring the ambient light.
Battery replacement
When the LOW BATTERY led starts glowing, replace the battery with the proper CR2032 equivalent.
ADF holder removal (see Pictorial annex on the cover)
release the locker that secures the ADF
remove the ADF holder from its position
for putting the ADF holder back, firstly place the plastic pins in the upper part of the holder to its
original place and then fasten the locker
Inner protection plate replacement (see Pictorial annex on the cover)
put your finger into the hole in the middle of the top of the inner protection plate
pull away the protection plate with your finger, bend it and remove it from the ADF
insert the new inner protection plate back by pushing in two edges first, bending the foil over your
finger and snapping the other two edges into the pins
ADF replacement (see Pictorial annex on the cover)
remove the ADF holder (see ADF holder removal)
stretch the opposite sides of the ADF holder while pulling the ADF out of the holder
place the new ADF
insert the ADF holder back into the helmet
Outer protection plate replacement (see Pictorial annex on the cover)
remove the ADF holder (see ADF holder removal)
change the outer protection plate
place the ADF holder back
4. Headband adjustments
1.
Height adjustment for headband: Adjust the headband height so, that the band part circulating the
head is positioned relatively low. This way welding helmet stays well on the head. The padding
should be a little above the eyebrows. Height can be adjusted from the top of the head gear.
2. Adjustment of welding helmet angle: Adjust the welding helmet angle in regard to your face so that
the lower edge of welding helmet is positioned near your chest in the welding position. This way
the welding helmet provides the best protection.
3. Tension adjustment of head harness: Adjust the band tightness by rotating the adjusting wheel
positioned in the back of the band.
3
4. Tension adjustment of welding helmet: Adjust the tightness of welding helmet in regard to head
harness by rotating the two thumb screws on the sides. Adjust the tightness of helmet so, that the
high raised helmet stays up, but goes down when you nod your head. If the helmet strikes against
your chest when falling, the adjustment is too loose or the helmet angle has been adjusted too
near your chest from the limiter.
5. Distance adjustment: Adjusting the distance between the face and the ADF by loosening both
outside tension knobs and subsequent moving forward or backward to desired position. Secure
the chosen position by tightening the knobs.
5. Storage and shelf life
Store the welding helmet in a dry and clean place at room temperature, avoid direct sunlight (tempe-
rature range from -10 °C to +55 °C with relative humidity between 20 and 95 %). Longterm storage in
temperatures above 45 °C can reduce the lifetime of the battery.
