12 Operating the Positioner
• To lower the working load, pull it down by hand until you reach the desired position.
• To raise the working load, lift it by hand until you reach the desired position.
13 Maintenance & Inspections
• I f the Positioner is found to be damaged in any way, stop working with it at once, mark

• K eep the lateral opening (used for braking force adjustments) closed at all times to
prevent any ingress of dirt or grease!
Daily inspections for damage are required for:
• Polyamide cable
• Safety suspension

• Brake adjusting screw
The Positioner, especially its cable, must be periodically – but at least once every year – checked for damage by a
competent person (DIN ISO 4309:2013-06). If the device is found to be defective in any way, it must be withdrawn
from service at once.
14 Disposal
• W hen disposing of the product, be sure to observe all the directives and regulations in
force at the time regarding the handling of metals, plastics, electrical and electronic com-
ponents, greases, oils, etc.
• S hould the product need to be disassembled, such work may only be performed by specia-
lized personnel trained and instructed by the manufacturer.
