The average life of this medical device with normal use and in accord with the present user manual,
has been calculated to be 5 years. According with EN62353 we recommend users verify every 2 years
from the date of the first use: dispersion current versus ground, in the box and in the patient.
MOTOR RUBBER O-RING:
If necessary, substitute the "Rubber O-Ring"

LUBRICATING:
Do not oil or lubricate the micro motor. Protect motor from excess oil draining from handpiece.

After lubricating and before autoclaving, stand handpiece by its base on a paper towel and allow
excess oil to drain.
The internal gears of the peristaltic pump are self lubricating.

Do apply some oil drops in the cylinders of the peristaltic pump rotor after a long period of non-use or
-
when the pump doesn't run continuously.

11.3 FUSE REPLACEMENT

Your device is protected by one fuse. The replacement procedure is as follows:
ONCE UNIT IS UNPLUGGED -Remove the fuse holder.

Extract the fuse holder, replace the fuse with one of the same type and value 1x4A T (Dim. 5x20).

All the information necessary for the repair of faulty components is made available by the manufacturer to the
technical personnel of the SATELEC approved dealer network who carry out the work.
 The I-SURGE must be used in accordance with these Instructions for Use.
 The I-SURGE has no components which can be repaired by the user. Assembly, modifications
or repairs must only be undertaken by an authorized service organization.
 Unauthorized opening of the equipment invalidates all claims under warranty and any other
claims.
 Use on electrical circuit complying with the terms of regulation CEI 64-8 section 710.

11.4 OPERATION FAULTS

Fault detected: The central unit does not switch on.
Possible cause
•Power cord not connected properly
•Unit has not been switched on.
Solution
Make sure the power cord is properly plugged into the electrical outlet and the
connector on the back of the unit.
Check the back of the unit to see that the On button has been pressed.
