Instructions for assembling a cantilever installation series 900 LX
INTROdUcTORy ReMARkS
The installation location and the methods to fix the unit
to the floor should be checked by qualified personnel. In
particular, it is necessary to consult a building specialist in
order to check the suitability of the floor.
N.b.: The manufacturer declines all responsibility for
direct and indirect damages caused by the incorrect
installation, tampering, improper use and for
everything specified in our sales conditions.
OpeRATION 1 (see Fig. 1)
EN
cantilever positioning with legs (recommended).
1. Place the supporting truss of the structure (A) on the
definitive point.
2. Fix the legs (d) with their adjustable feet with the
M10x30 screws (B) and the relevant flat washer (C)
from the external side of the columns. In structures
with three columns, the legs of the middle columns
must be fixed in order for them to be perfectly centred
in comparison with the structure's length.
3. Check the structure's correct levelling.
4. To improve safety, both the legs and floor fixing can be
made. In this case, see the following steps.
cantilever positioning with floor screws.
1. Position the supporting truss (A) of the structure and
mark the floor with the points to drill, where the small
blocks (not included in our supply) will be mounted
in correspondence with the holes (E) of the column
flange. we recommend M12 small blocks (for example
Fischer Fh II 18/50 B or similar).
2. Temporarily move the structure and drill the marked
points.
3. Remove dust from the drilled holes.
4. Reposition the structure and check the correct
levelling.
5. Introduce the small blocks through the holes of
the column plate. hit it slightly with a hammer, if
necessary.
6. Make sure the screws are tightened by means of a
dynamometric calibrated wrench according to the
specifications of the small blocks you are using.
OpeRATION 2 (see Fig. 2)
Assembly of the column case.
1. As shown, secure the L bars (A) onto the lower side of
the supporting truss with M5x12 socket head screws
(B) and the relevant washer.
2. Place the cylindrical heads (C) of the cases and mark
the drilling point on the floor in correspondence with
the proper holes. To adjust the distance correctly, use
the side panels (d) of the cases to help.
3. Remove all the cases and drill. we recommend using Ø
8 mm small blocks suitable to light fixing.
4. Position the small blocks (not supplied).
5. Reposition the cylindrical head cases (C) and fix them
to the supporting structure with M5x12 socket head
screws (g) and to the floor (F).
6. Secure the side cases (d) with Poeliers M5x20 screws
(E).
7. The cylindrical cases may not be fixed to the floor, but
the installation will be less resistant to impact.
OpeRATION 3 (see Fig. 3)
joist Assembly.
1. Assemble the LEFT and RIghT joists (A) to the ends of
the truss. use 4 M10x30 screws for each joist and the
flat washer. don't tighten completely.
2. Each table top part to be installed on the structure
needs two supporting joists; assemble the central
joists (B) as described within the previous item. Take
into account the final arrangement.
3. In the event of a back-to-back structure, repeat the first
two items of the operation even on the opposite side.
4. Insert the M10x20 screws (C) without the washer into
the central threaded holes of the joists.
5. use a water level and start from the joist at the end of
the structure, fix the flange's upper screws by adjusting
the inclination of the central screws (C). After the
levelling is completed, fix the joist's lower screws.
6. Repeat the previous step for all of the structure's joists;
always check the good alignment between the joists.
7. Check the tightening of the upper and lower screws
of each joist by the means of a 50 Nm calibrated
dynamometric wrench.
OpeRATION 4 (see Fig. 4)
bracket assembly for back support (only for single
front structures).
1. From the opposite side of the joists, screw in the
brackets (A) in order to secure the back to the technical
compartment. These brackets must be assembled
symmetrically as regards to the structure and with
the M5 inserts toward the centre. use the M10x20
screws and the relevant washer without completely
tightening them.
2. Make sure that the back is correctly aligned with the
fixing holes.
3. Tighten the screws with a 50 Nm calibrated
dynamometric wrench.
