6.8 Troubleshooting

Dirty fuel filter
Lever at the shut off valve is
not pressed
Too little operating pressure
Suction hose kinked or defec-

Incorrect control lever setting Perform the fuel removal or

Dirty pressure regulator
Action
Press the RESET button on the
pump (see illustration 4)
Remove the sieve from the
fuel filter and clean it
Operate the lever during the
fuel removal or return proce-
dure (see illustration 3)
Adjust the internal operating
pressure in accordance with
Section 4.2
Check the fuel removal/return
line for possible damage
refilling procedure in accord-
ance with Section 5
Return the pump for overhaul
Clean/replace filter element
