Monthly or when signs of clogging are evident it is necessary to make a cartridge cleaning following the
procedure described below:
1)
Close the shut off valves upstream and downstream of the filter and possibly activate the by-pass
circuit.
2)
Turn the green plastic ferrule counter clockwise til the disengagement and lift up the ferrule.
3)
Draw the flow diverter body and the filtering cartridge from the top.
4)
Brush the cartridge and wash it under running water. Drain the water from the body of the filter
through the bottom valve and insert the diverter body and the cartridge keeping the position of the
countercheck point Insert the plastic ferrule and turn it clockwise, completing the closing maneuvre.
Insert the ferrule and turn it clockwise. Open the water upstream and downstream of the device closing the by-
pass circuit.
A2.1.3 BravoCALOR
Every 3-4 days or when it is necessary, open the drain valve long enough to remove the dirt accumulated in
the filter. It is possible to repeat several times.
Monthly or when signs of clogging are evident it is necessary to make a cartridge cleaning. To perform the
cleaning of the cartridge disassemble the bowl made in brass, remove the cartridge in stainless steel and start
the cleaning operations with plenty of hot water. In case you need, use a disposable paper or a clean sponge.
A2.2 Inactivity
After a period of inactivity of less than 30 days carry out the cleaning operation repeatedly (4-5 times) keeping
the filter in discharge position for 30 seconds in order to allow an adequate flushing of the filter.
After a period of inactivity longer than 30 days the filter must be sanitized.
The term "inactivity period" indicate a period in which the water distribution system remains completely closed
without withdrawal from tap (e.g. during holydays).
In case the hydraulic distribution system was subjected to a cleaning and sanitization it would be necessary to
include the filter in the intervention as well. The sanitization is part of the extraordinary maintenance and it
must be performed by qualified personnel only.

A2.3 Periodic checks
It is advisable to make a biannual check by an authorized technician to verify the proper operation of the
equipment.
A2.4 Extraordinary maintenance
Extraordinary maintenance or repair may affect the functional and/or safety features if improperly executed: all
these operations are deliberately omitted in this manual. Hence all extraordinary maintenance and repair
operations not covered in this manual should be performed by authorized Acqua Brevetti s.r.l personnel only
or by a local delegate specifically authorized.
