Thank you for choosing a Meliconi remote control.
The LOGIC12 remote control, after a simple setting, can control almost all the audio-video equipment in
the house, such as TV (TV CRT, LCD, Plasma, TV with integrated digital terrestrial tuner), SAT (satellite
decoder), TER (digital terrestrial decoder - zapper and MHP), PAY, CABLE (TV via cable), DVD (DVD and
DVD recorder), VCR (video-recorder), MEDIA, PC (Media Center), STEREO (Home Theater and audio
systems) and AUX (other devices), up to a maximum of 12 appliances.
It is characterised by the presence of a LCD graphic screen, whose main aim is to indicate with
symbols, letters and numbers, the reproducible functions from the 12 side buttons linked to it. Thanks
to the LCD screen, the functions of these buttons can be personalised according to the kind of remote
control that is to be replaced and can be personalised further according to the user's needs, giving the
Meliconi remote control incredible flexibility and allowing it to be used instantly.
The LOGIC12 remote control can be connected directly to the PC, using the cable provided inside the
box. This means that the remote control can be set, not only in traditional fashion (that is, manually,
following the hard copy instructions), but also using a fast, easy online procedure. Programming via
computer ensures that constantly updated data is loaded on and allows for user personalisation. This
way the LOGIC12 will never become obsolete.
Thanks to the LIGHT button, the LCD screen and the keypad light up, so that the remote control can
also be used in the dark.
The LOGIC12 remote control also has a LEARN function: it can learn the original remote control's
signals that have not yet been installed in the Meliconi data base, or it can learn the secondary functions
desired directly by the original remote control, and store them in a specific display (user's display) or
on any of the keypad buttons.
Keep this manual should you need to consult it in the future. We recommend you follow the
guidelines, that show you the easiest, fastest way to program the remote control and set it to
your requirements and that can be found on the website:
Insert the batteries before using the remote control.
The remote control needs 3 new AA/LR06
batteries. Normal alkaline batteries are used for
this or Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, that have
been properly charged before use.
Insert the batteries as shown:
• Replace the batteries if during normal use of
the remote control the following appears on the
screen: flat battery warning
• This remote control has a permanent memory,
and does not lose the code settings nor the
functions even if it has no batteries inside for a
long period of time.
WARNING: When inserting batteries check the polarity is correct. Do not remove them, recharge them or dispose of them in a fi re. Do not mix new and used
batteries, or batteries of different brands or types. Do not dispose of them in the environment. Improper use can harm the environment and health. The dustbin
symbol on the battery indicates that it must be disposed of according to laws in force (EC 2006/66): fi nd out about battery collection and waste disposal
methods in force in your own country.
