PROBLEM
The fryer is not heating
Oil overflows

TROUBLESHOOTING
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The appliance is not plugged in.
The cooking temperature is not being
reached.
The control unit is not correctly
positioned.
The safety cut-off is activated.
The basket was lowered too quickly.
Cooking freshly made fries at
356°F/374°F -180°C/190°C for the first
fry.
The « MAX » marker for filling the bowl
has been exceeded.
The frying basket has been overfilled
with food.
Food is wet or contains too much
water (frozen food).
Wrong oil or different types of oil/fat
have been mixed.
The fat/oil has deteriorated
The fat/oil is unsuitable
Food is moist and contains too much
water (frozen food).
Pieces are too thick and contain water.
Too much food is being cooked at the
same time and the cooking oil is not at
the right temperature.
The temperature of the frying oil may
not be high enough: the temperature is
set incorrectly.
Unwashed food immersed in hot oil.
SOLUTION
Plug-in the appliance and check
the connection
Set the thermostat control to the
required temperature.
To prevent this, use the guide slots
to correctly position the control
unit.
Check the oil level, let it cool and
press the RESET button, which is
located on the back of the control
unit of the fryer.
Lower the basket slowly and keep
a close eye on the oil level.
It is important to double-fry
freshly made fries and to respect
the recommended cooking
temperature (see page 6).
Check the level « MAX » and
remove the excess.
Check that the basket is not too
full. Fig.13
Remove any ice and dry the food
thoroughly. Lower the basket
slowly.
Empty and clean the bowl. Refill
the bowl with one type of oil (see
recommedations of what oil to use
page 4)
Replace the frying oil (after 10 uses
max. and 5 for sunflower oil) more
frequently depending on the oil.
Use a good quality blended
vegetable oil.
Remove as much ice from the
frozen food as possible before
frying.
Experiment by lengthening the
cooking time or by slicing food
smaller and thinner.
Fry food in small quantities
(especially when frozen).
Set the thermostat control to the
recommended temperature.
Wash potatoes well and dry them
thoroughly.
