START-UP
Only skilled personnel should install the machine. All
connections must be carried out in compliance with cur-
rent standards and in full observance of current safety
laws.
The cooling unit is supplied without refrigerant. To fill the
tank, unscrew the cap E and add approximately 5 liters
of liquid.
Connect the cooling hoses of the torch to the corre-
sponding fittings: H
water outlet.
It is important that the tank always be kept at the "max"
level during use for maximum performance. Therefore,
periodically check the level through the slot F.
The refrigerant must be the same type used for automo-
tive cooling circuits This can be made by mixing water
(preferably de-ionized) with glycol-based antifreeze. The
concentration depends on the ambient conditions.
20% antifreeze with an ambient temperature of -9°C
30% antifreeze with an ambient temperature of -17°C
Use ETHYLENE type glycol-based antifreeze, avoid
using PROPYLENE glycol.
Warning! Extended dry use of the pump may jeopardize
its efficiency and life-span.
To protect the torch, there is a pressure switch at the
pump outlet to control the delivery pressure. Should the
pressure drop due to a lack of fluid or because the pump
is jammed, the pressure switch stops the power source
through the connector D.
Remember to shut off the machine when you have
finished welding.

MAINTENANCE.
NOTE: All tasks should be carried out only by skilled
personnel.
Always unplug the power cord from the mains before
performing any kind of inspection inside the unit.
Periodically remove dust or other foreign matter from
inside the unit, especially the radiator.
Make sure all hose clamps are firmly tightened, all fittings
are intact and check the refrigerant level.
4.1
PRECAUTIONS TO TAKE AFTER REPAIRS.
After repairs, always make sure to arrange the wiring so
that those parts connected to the power supply are prop-
erly isolated.
Do not allow wires to come into contact with moving
parts or those that heat up during operation.
