The following precautions are important. They allow installation and use of the machine with a greater level of
safety:
!
Connect the dehumidifier to a sectionized outlet having a ground conductor.
!
The electricity line must be protected by a differential magnetothermal switch.
!
This dehumidifier is not suitable for use in explosive, or potentially explosive atmospheres, and
is unsuitable for use outdoors.
!
This dehumidifier must not be installed and operated in atmospheres containing oil, sulfur,
chlorine or salt.
!
The machine must always remain in the vertical position securely and persistently
!
The machine must always be protected from water sprays and/or jets and rain/snow/wind.
!
Make sure air suction and discharge processes are always unhindered; run routine checks to
prevent clogging.
!
Never put extraneous objects in the machine.
!
Never cover the dehumidifier during operation.
!
Never move the dehumidifier while it is running.
!
All electrical cables and tubes coming out of the machine must be protected against possible
damages from passing persons, vehicles, animals, etc.
!
Extensions of the power supply or remote humidistat cable must have an acquate cable
section; during operation extensions must be completely wound around a flex winder and lie
straight.
!
The condensate container must be emptied before every change of work position.
!
The machine must be handled and transported in a position kept as vertical as possible.
!
When you turn off the machine, wait about two minutes before turning it back on.
!
It is prohibited to operate or use the machine in a way other than the way described in this
operator's manual; noncompliance with the instructions in this manual or any unauthorized
change made to the machine will incur immediate termination of the warranty.
4.3
Transportation, storage and elimination
The machine has wheels and a handle to make it easier to move it around in the rooms where it is being used. This
equipment is not suitable for long-distance transfers on uneven ground. In these cases it is recommended to use
appropriate means of transportation and remember these precautions:
!
Before performing any handling or transportation maneuvers, make sure all connections, both
electrical and hydraulic, are disconnected from the machine.
!
Empty the condensate container to avoid spilling liquid inside the machine or on the ground.
!
The machine must be handled and transported in a position that is as vertical as possible.
!
Do not drag the machine by the electrical cords or drain tube; do not use the drain tube to tie
the machine.
For short-term storage, it is sufficient to turn off the main switch and make sure the power cable is disconnected.
In cases of long-term storage, use the following precautions:
Disconnect the electrical cables and discharge tube;
Wait for all residual condensates on the evaporator to disappear;
Empty the condensate container and dry it;
Cover the unit with a waterproof sheet and make sure the lower part is ventilated to prevent rust from
forming due to condensation;
Put the machine away in the vertical position in a dry and sheltered place.
To get rid of the machine properly, carefully read the following information:
This type of machine requires use of R134a or R407 coolant gases (in an internal circuit) that meet the
standards for protecting the Earth's ozone. In any event these substances, as well as the lubricant of
the compressor and other machine parts, must be disposed of in accordance with the law.
