5.3
Operation with condensate collection tray (all models)
All models of the EFT series have a tray that collects the condensate. The capacity of the trays is shown on Table
2 in Chapter 8. The tray sits on a support with an elastic suspension that measures the weight of the condensate.
After maximum weight is reached, it turns on warning light 4 (figures 5, 6 and 7) to indicate that the tray is full. It
stops the machine and waits for the tray to be emptied manually. This operation mode also puts switch 2 (figures 5,
6 and 7) in the OFF position.
!
When removing the tray, make sure to keep it as vertical as possible to avoid spilling liquid on
the machine or on the floor.
!
When removing or replacing the tray of the PLUS version, make sure you do not damage the
pump suction tube.
¤
When you put the tray back into the machine, make sure it is positioned correctly in the seat of the
weighing system. If it is not positioned properly, the machine will not start. For the PLUS version, put
the pump suction tube back into the tray.
¤
Routinely cleaned the tray with a cloth to eliminate residues on the bottom that might, over time, clog
the pump suction process (PLUS version).
5.4
Continuous operation with gravity-operated drainage (all models)
All models of the EFT series are predisposed for continuous condensate drainage by gravity. To access this mode
just remove the tray and connect a flexible tube of an appropriate length and diameter (see figure) to the tube
holder inside (4 Fig. 3 B). Then turn switch 2 to the ON position (figures 5, 6 and 7) to cut out the weighing device.
Otherwise the machine will not start.
!
Before turning off switch 2 to cut out the tray, make sure you
have securely connected the drain tube to the tube holder (see
figure); danger of flooding.
!
Make sure the incline between the machine and the drain point
is sufficient to ensure drainage of the condensates by force of
gravity; otherwise there is danger of flooding.
¤
In this operation mode it is important for switch 2 (figures 5, 6 and 7)
to be in the ON position; otherwise the machine will not start.
5.5
Continuous operation with pump (only the PLUS version )
a pumping cycle until the tray is emptied. This phase is indicated by warning light 8 coming on (Fig. 7). The cycle
repeats itself continuously and uses the pump strictly for the time needed to empty the tray.
All the EFT PLUS models are predisposed for the continuous draining of the
condensates by means of a pump that dips directly from the tray so the tray
need not be removed. It may be necessary to operate in this mode for
various reasons, such as the following:
To avoid having to monitor the machine as required in the case
described under 5.4;
To avoid having to monitor the machine when working underground
and/or when there is inadequate drainage slope;
it is easy to use because you can leave the tray in the machine.
To access these modes of operation just connect a flexible hose of an
appropriate length and diameter (see figure) to the external tube holder 5
(Fig. 3 B) and turn the switch 10 (Fig. 7) to the ON position to activate control
of the pumping cycle. Make sure switch 2 is in the OFF position (figures 5, 6
and 7) so that the weighing system, which in turn controls the pumping cycle,
is not cut out. In this case, when the tray is full, the electronic card activates
