To attach seat to base, position

front of seat in base then push
down on the back until it locks
into place. (See Illustration).
Pull up on infant carrier to be
sure it is securely latched into
base.
If you see red in the openings in
front of base the seat is not se-
cured. The seat is secured when
these are completely green.
To remove, squeeze release

handle at back of the infant
carrier to release the attachment
latch. Lift infant carrier from base
as shown.
Always place handle in the down
position when removing your
baby from the seat.
DO NOT use the base if the
car seat does not latch securely.
To fold load leg:

from the vehicle seat, squeeze
the mechanism as shown and
pull up the lever.

The child's head may drop
forward and cause breathing

A crash could put too much force

Securing your baby
Step 1.

Drape harness straps over seat
back. Place baby in seat. (Make
sure baby's back and bottom are
flat against seat.)
Step 2.

Fit the two shoulder strap buckle
parts together.
Step 3.

Push the now mated shoulder
buckle parts into the buckle
housing until you hear it click
home. CHECK that buckle is
secure.
DO NOT allow harness straps to
become twisted. Keep them flat
against your baby's body.

To tighten the harness, pull the
slack adjustment strap in front
of seat.
CHECK that harness is snug. You
should not be able to insert more
than two fingers between the
harness and your baby.
Step 5.

To open the harness,
If handle is up, move it to a down
position.
Press red button on buckle to
open harness.
ALWAYS securely fasten the
harness on your baby, whether
using the seat in a vehicle or as
a carrier.
NEVER let your baby ride in
the infant carrier with a loose
harness, with the straps off the
shoulders, or without the harness
buckled at all. Your baby could be
thrown out of the seat head-first.
