suitable clothing and work gloves whenever your hands
are at risk.
- Never use the machine with worn or damaged parts.
Faulty or worn-out parts must always be replaced and not
repaired. Only use original spare parts: the use of non-
original and/or incorrectly fitted parts will compromise
the safety of the machine, may cause accidents or
personal injuries and will relieve the manufacturer of all
obligations or liabilities.
- All adjustments or maintenance operations not described
in this manual must be carried out by an Authorised
Service Centre, which has the necessary expertise and
equipment to ensure that the work is done correctly
without affecting the safety of the machine. Operations
performed in unauthorised centres or by unqualified
persons will void all forms of warranty and all obligations
or liabilities of the manufacturer. In particular, you
should contact your Authorised Service Centre
immediately if you encounter malfunctions affecting the
brake, the engagement and stopping of the brake or the
drive engagement in forward or reverse gear.
- The silencer and other parts of the engine (e.g. cylinder
fins, spark plug) become hot during operation and
remain hot for a while after the engine is stopped. To
reduce risk of burns do not touch the silencer and other
parts while they are hot.
- Frequently check for the accumulation of dry grass or
similar materials, around the engine and especially around
the exhaust pipe; carry out periodic cleaning and remove
even the smallest quantities of such materials.
- Frequently check the grass-catcher for traces of wear and
deterioration.
- The hydraulic fluid may cause serious injury in the event
of leakage under pressure; if this happens seek
immediate medical assistance. Never carry out
maintenance or repairs on the hydraulic circuit; such
operations should be performed by specialist and
suitably equipped personnel.
- Make sure that the cutter assembly stops when the blade
stop button is set to STOP.
- Never modify the machine in any way.
- Replace safety devices as soon as they become damaged or
broken. Replace worn blades.
- Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tightened to guarantee safe
operating conditions.

7.2 Access To Mechanical Parts

Lift the engine cover (A, Fig.18) to access the engine and
mechanical parts below it.
To do so, proceed as follows:
- put the machine on level ground;
- remove the grass-catcher or stone-guard (optional);
- remove the access cap (B) and undo the fixing screw (C) with
a 15 mm spanner;
- lift the seat and extract the connector (E, Fig.6) of the
electrical cable, making sure to extract it from the spring (F);
- undo the fuel cap (A, Fig.9);
- grasp the rear part of the cover (grass-catcher side) and the
front part of the seat (steering wheel side) to lift the cover
itself.
When closing the cover:
- lower the cover until it engages squarely with the fixing
screw (C);
- fully tighten the fixing screw (C) and refit the access cap (B);
- screw on the fuel cap (A, Fig.9).

manner that is compatible with the environment. Used
oil must be taken in a sealed container to your local
service centre for reclamation. Do not throw it in the
rubbish bin or pour it down a drain, on the ground or
into the water system.
Rear axle
To extend the working life of the transmission it is advisable to
have the transmission oil changed by an Authorised Service
Centre every 120 hours of duty.
