> Cylinder must not stick at any position. Ensure that plenty of space for movement is present.
> Pull cylinder in direction of arrow. The gap arising must be 4 – 6 mm wide. Then allow cylinder to slide
back slowly.
> If the dimension is too great fit shim washers or longer distance sleeves according to the version.
> If the dimension is too small use shorter sleeve or adjust retainer.
ATTeNTION: If operating with an "anti-hopping clutch" the lever constantly moves. You must therefore
not forget to bend back the safety tabs; or, if none available, secure the rod with a split pin or similar against
becoming unhinged.

Before starting the trip check the system for the correct function. It should now be possible to push the
motorbike without any problems with the gear engaged and the clutch pulled in (engine off) !
WARNING for owners of a HYMeC with short master spacing:
If a collision should arise with the switch unit on the handlebars when installing the system and if this results
in a restriction of the free actuation of the lever, MAGURA can supply a fitting with a greater spacing from
the handlebars so that the switch can still be used without any restrictions!

IMPORTANT: Because of the constant unvarying working point of the HYMEC unit, the accustomed control
of clutch play is missing. You should therefore check the play at regular intervals as described under point 5
and reset if necessary. If the dimension is close to zero we recommend that the clutch is examined and
renewed if necessary. If this is not done you will risk slipping through or destruction of the clutch.
MAGURA will not accept any liability for this!
iMPortant: Please read the following important advice concerning MAGURA HYMeC-
system carefully!
> Never push the slave cylinder rod inward – the rod is only allowed to be moved by using the master cylinder
lever. Pushing in the rod may cause some trouble with the position of the piston o-rings and the system
may leak. In the event that this should occur the HYMEC system could potentially be damaged or draw air
and require bleeding. See bleeding a filled HYMEC system.
> If this happens, the following tip will solve the problem: Pull the rod completely outward as far as it can go,
hold the rod pulled and move the lever at the master cylinder. The o-rings now move back into their original
position.
