Safety Instructions and

Accident Prevention
Before putting the machine into operation, read
through these operating instructions completely and
observe the safety instructions contained therein as
well as those in the enclosed booklet on general
safety instructions for electro-tools.
If the mains cable is damaged while working, pull
the mains plug immediately.
Never work with a damaged mains cable.
For safety reasons, work only with the auxiliary
handle 7 mounted.
Do not carry the machine by the cable.
The mains receptacles in the working area must be
protected by a residual current circuit breaker (RC).
For the attachment of identification markings on the
machine, do not drill into the housing. The protec-
tive insulation would be shorted. Use stickers.
Wear protective goggles, ear protectors and face
mask.
Wear protective gloves and sturdy shoes.
For long hair, wear hair protection. Work only with
close-fitting clothes.
The machine must be operated only with the asso-
ciated protective devices.
Always use the riving knife 15.
The swinging guard 12 must be able to move
freely. It must not become jammed in the opened
state.
For stationary use, the machine may be operated
only on a sawing table with restarting protection.
Always direct the cable to the rear away from the
machine.
Connect machines that are used in the open via a
residual current circuit breaker with a triggering
current of 30 mA maximum. Use only extension
cables that are intended for outdoor use and are
protected against splash water.
Cracked or distorted blades may not be used. Work
only with good sharp blades.
Never use high-alloy HSS blades with this circular
saw.
Saw blades which are not in accordance with the
specifications stated in these operating instructions
may not be used.
Only use blades whose hub thickness is not
greater than and whose tooth offset width is not
less than the width of the gap rudder.
Insert the mains plug only when the machine is
switched off. The device must be always switched
on and off with the trigger switch and never by pull-
ing out or inserting the plug at the socket or by pull-
ing out/inserting the mains cable on the machine.
When working, always guide the machine away
from the body.
The cutting path must be free of obstacles both
above and blow. Do not saw into nails, screws, etc.
The saw blade should not protrude below the work-
piece more than 3 mm .
Keep hands clear of the rotating saw blade. Do not
come into contact with the rotating saw blade on
the underside of the workpiece.
Do not stick fingers into the sawdust ejector 18 .
Do not work with materials containing asbestos.
Do not tilt the saw blade.
If the saw blade jams, switch off the machine imme-
diately.
After switching off, do not brake the saw blade to a
stop by applying side pressure.
