Deactivation procedure of the "RDC" function
01. Press and hold down key ■ (for approx. 5 sec-
(5")
onds), until the motor performs 1 VIBRATION;
1
then release the key.
02. Press and hold down key ■ again (for approx. 5
(5")
seconds), until the motor performs 4 SHORT
4
motions; then release the key.
03. Press and hold down key ■ again (for approx. 5
(5")
seconds), until the motor performs 5 LONG
5
motions (= "RDC" function deactivated) then
release the key.
Note – With the "RDC" function deactivated, the closure of the awning is com-
pleted by the motor with the nominal driving torque.
"FRT" (fabric tensioning) AND "FTC" (automatic release
8
of the fabric) FUNCTIONS
For AWNINGS:
For ROLLER SHUTTERS:
Caution! – "FRT" and "FTC" are alternate functions, meaning that the
programming of one prevents the other from being programmed.
"FRT" FUNCTION
This function is used to tension the fabric when the awning is open. The func-
tion is activated by programming position "2" on Free-Max: basically, after the
awning has reached opening position "1" during normal use, the motor auto-
matically performs a short rewinding operation that tensions the fabric placing it
in position "2".

Activation procedure of the "FRT" function

8.1
01. Press and hold down key ■ (for approx. 5 sec-
(5")
onds), until the motor performs 1 VIBRATION,
1
then release the key.
14 – English
02. Press and hold down keys ■ and ▼ simultane-
(5")
ously (for approx. 5 seconds), until the motor
starts to automatically move the awning into
1
position "1", then release the keys.
03. (within the next 4 seconds) Use keys ▲ and ▼ to
slightly close the awning, until the fabric appears
2
to be sufficiently taut (this is position "2").
04. (within the next 4 seconds) Press and hold
down key ■ until the motor performs 2 LONG
2
motions (= position "2" memorised and FRT
function activated), then release the key.
Immediately afterwards the motor will automati-
cally move the awning to position "2".
"FTC" FUNCTION
This function allows to automatically hook and release the awning. The "FTC"
function can only be activated if the awning features an automatic hook/release
mechanism of the fabric, fitted on the awning opening position.
This type of mechanism generally has a stop for the mechanical hooking of the
awning and two more points (positioned after the stop) that the awning must
reach in order to allow hooking (position "1") and release (position "S") of the
fabric.
Therefore, for correct automation working, the two positions "1" and "S" need
to be set and memorised as follows:
• Position "1": program this position following procedure 5.2 or 5.1. Use pro-
cedure 9 if the position is already programmed and you wish to change it.
Important! – Position "1" must be placed a few centimetres past the
mechanical hooking stop. This allows the fabric to reach position "1" during
the opening manoeuvre and then, after rewinding slightly, to hook to the
mechanical stop.
• Position "S": program this position following the next procedure 8.2.
Important! – Position "S" must be placed a few centimetres past position
"1". This allows the fabric, during the closing manoeuvre, to reach position
"S" first and then unhook to rewind.
