1 - Important safety
information
1. Before using your HT harness, make sure you have carefully
read and understood the information given in this manual;
by complying with this information and the safety guidelines,
you will ensure safe and efficient use of the equipment. This
manual must be kept available to all users. Additional copies
can be provided on request.
2. Before using a HT harness, you must first be trained in use of
the harness. Also check the condition of the associated
components (connectors, lanyard, fall arrester) and make sure
that the fall clearance is sufficient.
3. A HT harness can only be used by a single operator who is
properly trained and qualified in each of the harnesses, or
under the supervision of such a person.
4. If a HT harness is not visibly in good condition or if it has
served to stop a fall, all of the equipment must be inspected
by Tractel
S.A.S or by a qualified person who must then
®
authorise the return to service of the harness in writing. A visual
inspection before each use is recommended.
5. Any change or addition to the equipment is subject to the prior
written approval of Tractel
6. Any harness which has not been inspected over the past
12 months must not be used; it must be inspected by a
qualified person who will then authorize use in writing or
withdrawal from use for safety purposes. If it has arrested a
fall, it must be withdrawn from use or destroyed.
7. This equipment is suitable for use on an open-air worksite in
temperatures ranging from -35°C to +60°C.

13. For operator safety, it is essential that the fall arrest system
20
and the anchorage points are correctly positioned and that the
20
work is performed in a way to reduce, to the minimum, the risk
21
of falls and the height at which the work is performed.
21
14. In a fall arrest system, it is essential to check the fall clearance
21
(free space under user at work location) each time before use
to avoid any risk of collision with the ground or any obstacle
along a fall trajectory. Refer to the manual of the fall arrest
system used to obtain the required fall clearance value.

15. The HT harness must be maintained and stored in compliance
with the instructions given in this manual; failure to observe
the maintenance and storage instructions will significantly
impact the service life of the harness.
16. For operator safety, if the product is re-sold outside the first
