TRANSPORT
As transport protection the ice maker is packed in a
heavy cardboard crate.
For moving the packed unit to site use a fork lift with
forks no thicker than 40 mm. (2)
For the unpacking of the unit observe the pictorial view.
Make sure and locate the the ice scoop inside the ice
storage bin. (5)
LOCATION (12-18)
Position the ice maker in its final location and make sure
that there is everything for its installation, namely:
- power supply disconnect switch
- water supply connection
- waste drain water connection
ATTENTION
To prevent any possible intestinal infection to the ice
consumers:
- make sure that water available is DRINKABLE and in
relation to its quality consult the installer for the possible
installation of a water filter or water conditioner. (9)
TO GAIN FULL ADVANTAGE FROM THIS UNIT IN
TERMS OF PERFORMANCE AND DURABILITY ALSO
MAKE SURE THAT:
- minimum water pressure is not below 1 bar and maxi-
mum water pressure does not exceed 5 bar (10)
- the electrical supply available corresponds to voltage
and ampacity of the machine specifications as indicat-
ed on the unit nameplate (11)
- the electrical disconnect switch with fuse protection
must be a two pole type with a minimum clearance of
3 mm between open contacts (12)
- the minimum ambient temperature should not be lower
than +10°C and the maximum ambient temperature
higher than +40°C (13)
- around the unit there is a minimum space of 150 mm
from walls to allow enough air circulation. (13)
ATTENZIONE
Do not surround the unit with a curtain which, by
preventing proper ventilation, can cause overheat-
ing. (14)
- there are no heat sources (kitchen stoves, ovens,
grills) near the machine and the environment is not too
humid. (15)
HOW THE INSTALLATION IS MADE
IMPORTANT.
THE MACHINE INSTALLATIONHAS TO BE PER-
FORMED BYAUTHORIZED SERVICE PERSONNEL.
The basic steps for the unit installation are mentioned
and illustarted in this paragraph.
Connect the plug to the electric cord in compliance with
the local electrical codes. (16)
Check machine is level. (16)
The level can be corrected by means of the leg lev-
ellers. (17)
Water supply is connected using the hoses supplied
with the machine. (18)
Water drain is connected and set-up properly using spi-
ralled hose which should have a minimum fall of 3 cm
per meter. (18)
Open water shut-off valve. (19)
Fit machine electric plug into its receptacle. (19)
Switch the main switch to the ON position. (19)

NOTE.
THE SOUND LEVEL OF THE UNITIN OPERATION
SHOULD BELOWER THAN 70 DB (A).
To start and stop the machine, press ON/OFF switch
(picture 1). The RESET switch is found in the water-
cooled models. If the alarm led switches on, press
the RESET button inside the small door (pic. nr. 48).
The alarm led switches on in case of lack of water
due to the cooling of the condenser or due to con-
densation problems. Further instructions about the
machine functioning can be found in the user's man-
ual.

The authorized Service Agent will complete an inspec-
tion of the unit interior. (20)
The first batch of ice cubes will drop into the storage bin
approximately 30 minutes from start-up. (20)
