Assembling the ED12

Missing seals and connections will lead to non-compliance with the IP 65 protection class!
Liquids and foreign objects could penetrate the device and plug connections and destroy the
electronics.
Use plug connections with the IP 65 protection class.
Make sure that the seals are integrated in the plug and not damaged.
Make sure that all plugs are attached before starting the system.

Before installation, ensure that the housing ventilation port (2)
is open and not e.g. painted shut.

Inserting the base plate seal

1. Place the base plate seal (9) in the appropriate recesses on the
underside of the ED12.
2. Press slightly on the base plate seal.
6.3

Placing the ED12 on a base plate

A coded pin (20) is located on the base plate, which fits in the coded
hole (6) of the ED12. This ensures correct assembly.
1. Turn the ED12 so that the coded pin (20) and coded hole (6) are
on the same side and the pin can be inserted into the hole.
2. Place the ED12 on the base plate.

The coded pin on the base plate will fit into the coded hole in
the ED12.
Make sure that the base plate seal does not move during this.
