10.2.1 Checking the seals of the ED12

The seals in the ED12 may age faster under aggressive ambient
conditions. Defective seals will lead to pneumatic leaks and non-
compliance with the IP 65 protection class.
Every now and then, check that the seals on the pressure
regulator are in perfect order.
A damaged seal can be recognized by parts of the seal visibly
protruding from the housing gaps.

Supply pressure too low
Insufficient power supply for the
device
Consumers that use a lot of
air (> 2600 Nl/min) cause a large
drop in pressure in the device
Housing ventilation port is closed Ensure that the housing ventilation
Defective diaphragm in the
housing ventilation port
If malfunctions occur
Remedy
Connect the power supply
Check the polarization of the power
supply
Switch on system component
Stipulate a set point
Connect the supply pressure
Increase the supply pressure
Supply the device with correct
(sufficient) voltage
Reduce air consumption
