• This pump is intended for use only with the
available range of EntraFlo™ Administration
Sets and only if the Administration Set is
correctly installed. Use with other Adminis-
tration Sets could cause delivery errors and
put the patient at risk.
• Caution: To reduce the risk of electrical shock,
do not remove back cover. Refer servicing to
qualified service personnel.
• Notice: To insure proper battery operation,
unit should be charged for 12 hours prior to
use. Remove label prior to use.
• Danger: Possible explosion hazard if used in
the presence of flammable anesthetics.
• The EntraFlo™ Nutrition Feeding Pump is
MEDICAL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT requiring
special precautions regarding EMC and needs
to be installed and put into service according
to the EMC information in the ACCOMPANY-
ING DOCUMENTS.
• The EntraFlo™ Nutrition Feeding Pump emits
Radio Frequencies (RF) that can affect other
MEDICAL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT located
nearby.
ADMINISTRATION SETS
• Administration Set tubing may present a
risk of entanglement or strangulation.
Arrange giving set tubing to minimize the risk
of patients or others from strangulation or
entanglement.
• Dispose of Administration Set according to
healthcare facility procedure for treatment of
medical waste, or as directed by a health care
provider.
• Follow instructions to reduce the risk of free
flow.
• Only for enteral nutrition.

Alarms/Alerts

High Priority Alarm - Flashing red displays and
alarm sounds.
Indicates an imminent hazard requiring imme-
diate operator attention, which otherwise could
result in serious personal injury and/or product
damage if proper action is not taken:
- FREE FLOW
Medium Priority Alarms - Flashing yellow
indicator light and alarm sounds.
Indicates a condition that requires prompt
operator attention, which could result in seri-
ous personal injury and/or product damage if
proper action is not taken:
- OCCLUSION/EMPTY
- LOW BATTERY
Alerts - Indicator light is lit and/or alert sounds
Indicates that a condition exists of which the
operator should be aware:
- LOW BATTERY (light)
- BATTERY CHARGING (light)
Note: Battery Charging light on serial num-
bers starting at 850000
- RATE CHANGE (alert)
- DOSE COMPLETE (light and alert)
- BATTERY (light)
- PAUSE (alert)
Cancel Alarm/Alert
Pressing the RUN/PAUSE key after the alarm
condition has been corrected cancels the
alarm/alert and returns pump to pause mode.
Note: See Troubleshooting Section for
possible alarm/alert causes.
FREE FLOW ALARM CONFIRMATION TEST
To determine if the Free Flow Alarm has been
installed on the pump, complete the following
steps to determine if the pump has been up-
graded to include the Free Flow Alarm feature:
1. Turn pump on
2. Press and hold down both the
buttons at the same time until the pump
beeps
3. Release the buttons
