TESTING THE DETECTOR WITH GAS
To carry out this test, wait until the detector is about to carry out a measurement (Led is
blinking quickly).
At this point, and for a few seconds, apply CO to the detector at about 5 cms from the
entry grill. After approximately 18 s, the module line will show the concentration detected.
Remember that diesel vehicles do not generate CO.
9. DECONTAMINATING THE DETECTORS
This system has been devised for low contaminations, if the contaminations are severe, it
will be necessary to sent the detectors to the factory to try to decontaminate them using
methods that can only be carried out at our laboratories.
To decontaminate the detectors:
1. Press ON/OFF.
2. Keep pressed CHANGE VENTILATION LEVEL
the display.
The system will remain in this status for approx. 2 h. After this time the module line/lines
will automatically connect.
To exit this mode before the process has finished, press CHANGE VENTILATION
LEVEL

If the operation has been aborted without the cycle finishing, it will be necessary to
connect manually the module line by pressing ON/OFF
In equipments Portuguese standard
During this proccess and in order to avoid dangerous CO levels, the ventilation will be
automatically actived every 30 minutes for 5 minutes.
