INFORMATION
Overheating tests have been performed at thermosyphon systems. The results are
the following:
•
The total solar radiation in the plane of the solar collector during the
overheating prevention test was 101.0 MJ/m2, reaching an output maximum
temperature from reservoir tank of 101.1 °C.
•
When the system is in operation for several days without water removal and
the accumulated solar radiation in the plane of the solar collector is greater
than 101.0 MJ/m2, the system can be overheated. To prevent this, draw water
from the reservoir tank to a volume of approximately 3 times its content.
