Air supply
The amount of combustion air for Jøtul's products is approximately
20-40 m 3 /h. The outside air connection may be fi tted directly to
the Jøtul F 480 through:
•
The base/pedestal or
•
through a fl exible supply hose from the outside/chimney
(only if the chimney has its own duct for external air) and to
the product's outside air connector.

4.0 Installation
NB: Check that the fi replace is undamaged before installation
begins.
NB: The product is heavy! Ensure you have help when
positioning and installing it. Make sure the product does
not topple over.
NB: Do not place anything on the top plate of the stove as this
could cause permanent damage to the paint/enamel.
NB: Read the Installation and Operating instructions carefully
before installing the fi replace!
4.1 Prior to installation
The standard product comes in three or more consignments
One with the burnchamber, one with the base or pedestal and
side panels.
You will need the following tools to install the product: Spirit
level, ratchet with 10 mm and 13 mm sockets,Torx T 20 and
hex keys with 5 mm socket.

1. Remove the packaging (cardboard and wooden frame) and
spread the cardboard out on the fl oor behind the fi replace.
Remove the white foam plastic in the top.
2. Remove the screws attaching the burnchamber to the
transport pallet.
3. Leave the stove standing on the transport pallet.
4. Remove the top plate (A) with the top grate (B).
5. Remove the gloves and bowl from the ash pan. Place the
bowl on the top grate right up to the end if the fl ue pipe is
rear-mounted.
6. Check that the control handles (C) move freely.
