1.
You receive the DanLoad 6000 in a crate or
box. Remove it from the crate or box.
2.
Plan the physical installation. Consider the
ease of use of the instrument with the operator in a
safe and comfortable position. Consider also the
performance of maintenance tasks without
disrupting ongoing product delivery operations in
close proximity.
Locate no object under the DanLoad 6000 or in
front of the conduit connections for a distance of
approximately 380 mm below the enclosure.
Recommended mounting height is 1.14 to 1.27 m
above grade to the bottom of the enclosure.
The DanLoad 6000 is designed for installation in
an outdoor environment. Consider the use of
sunshades, rain covers, sand covers, or desiccant
packs. For a full list of environmental
considerations, refer to Section 2 of the DanLoad
6000 Reference Manual (Part No. 3-9000-670).
3.
Fabricate device supports. Refer to Figure 3
for mounting dimensions.
Four M10-1.5x15mm threaded bolts are provided
for mounting with each DanLoad 6000. The
enclosure can be bottom-mounted or rear-
mounted. Bottom mounting is preferable, due to
the weight of the device. The lengths of the bolts
provided are sized for use with a 4mm-thick
mounting panel. In the event you use a different
thickness panel, you must select bolts of an
appropriate length in order that when the bolts are
fully tightened without washers fitted, a thread
remains free (therefore, where it is intended to fit
washers, even if they are inadvertently not fitted, a
thread remains free and the bolt does not bottom
out). Size the length of the bolts to satisfy this
requirement, and to ensure maximum engagement
for thread strength. The panel used should be a
mild steel member with four 11.5mm diameter
holes located to match the mounting pattern being
used.
The forward pair of mounting screw holes in
bottom-mount fixtures must be centered no more
than 19 mm from the edge. The enclosure has a
2° taper to the rear. The enclosure may need a
shim as much as 4.3 mm thick at the rear pair of
screws to level the instrument. Level the enclosure
to allow for best conduit alignment.
Fixtures for rear mounting may need additional
bracing to ensure rigidity.
4.
Lay electrical conduit. Use metal conduit for
all process signal wiring. Use separate conduits for
AC and DC voltage circuits. Use new, clean,
lubricated conduit. Where applicable, explosion
proof seals must be installed in the conduit. Use
liquid tight fittings, vapor tight fittings, threaded hub
fittings, and/or sealed conduit joints to keep
moisture from entering the conduit.
5.
Mount the DanLoad 6000 on the mounting
supports. Insert the 10 – 1.5 metric hex drive
bolts. Tighten the bolts to 24 to 29 N-m.
6.
Run and connect all wiring to the cards in the
card cage inside the DanLoad 6000 enclosure.
Refer to Figure 2.
7.
Several of the electronic circuit boards
contain bit links (jumpers) that must be verified for
correct configuration before installation of the
DanLoad 6000. Jumper configuration should be
verified before the unit is configured. Verify the
jumper configurations before applying any power
or connecting any process I/O signals to the
DanLoad 6000. For a list of jumper settings for the
