Installation and programming manual
While reading, the program led of the transmodulator will blink; the
transmodulator must not receive other transmissions at the same time.
Keep the PS programmer aimed at the transmodulator until the Read...
message is deleted from the screen.
To consult the data received, select the corresponding function, which will
display the datum on the screen of the programmer.
10. ADJUSTMENT OF LEVELS
10.1 Verifying the TQ modules
Check that the QPSK satellite transponder hook-up indicator (15), the
'correct QPSK/QAM transmodulation' indicator (16) and the 'correct
QAM output channel' indicator (18) on the transmodulators are activated.
10.2 Levels of the TQ modules
Connect a signal level meter that covers the band from 47 to 862 MHz
in the TEST connector (37) of the PA amplifier. Make sure that the output
(38) of the amplifier is charged with the distribution cable or an RS-275
(code 9120011) charge of 75 Ω, and that the signal inlet (20) of the first
module is charged with an RS-275 (code 9120011) charge of 75 Ω.
Verify that the output level regulators (19) of each TQ module are at -0
dB. Next, adjust the output levels of each TQ module, using the output
level regulator (19), so that the QAM channel levels are roughly within a
margin of 2 dB.
