3 .6 TESTING THE STUD HOLDER

Precondition:
• The setting tool is connected to the com-
pressed air supply.
• There are no fasteners in the setting tool.
1. Unscrew the stud collector / stud securing cap /
stud discharge tube.
2. Press the trigger.
A stroke of the setting tool is clearly
»
audible.
3. Press the trigger again.
No stroke is heard.
»
If a stroke is audible, the stud
holder is defective.
WARNING
Defective stud holder
Serious injuries or material damage
• If the stud holder is defective,
bar the machine immediately
and prevent its further use.
3 .7 ADJUSTING THE EXTRACTION
SYSTEM
ATTENTION
Improper extraction
Material damage
• Do not use the extraction
system to pick up dirt or other
substances.
• Use the extraction system only
as described in this manual.
On delivery, intermittent extraction
is set as operating mode.
There are 3 different setting
possibilities, see Chapter 2.8.

3 .7 .1 Setting intermittent extraction

The extraction mode is set on the
base of the housing. The structure
of the housing base is described in
Chapter 2.4.2.
Precondition:
• The base of the setting tool housing is
accessible.
1. Screw the slotted screw for switching off the
extraction system firmly into the housing base.
2. Close the knurled screw completely in
clockwise direction.
Intermittent extraction is now set.

3 .7 .2 Setting continuous extraction

The extraction mode is set on the
base of the housing. The structure
of the housing base is described in
Chapter 2.4.2.
Precondition:
• The base of the setting tool housing is
accessible.
1. Screw the slotted screw for switching off the
extraction system firmly into the housing base.
2. Open the knurled screw in anti-clockwise
direction.
Continuous extraction is now set.

The further the knurled screw is opened,
»
the stronger the continuous extraction.

3 .7 .3 Switching off the extraction system

The extraction system is switched
off on the base of the housing. The
structure of the housing base is
described in Chapter 2.4.2.
Precondition:
• The base of the setting tool housing is
accessible.
1. Completely loosen the slotted screw for
switching off the extraction system.
Extraction is switched off.
