SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

In order to prevent accidents and injuries, the following safety instructions for
handling our units must be observed to the letter.
For your own safety, before working with the unit you must read the corresponding
safety instructions.
Keep these instructions in a place accessible to all the personnel who work with the
unit so that these may be consulted.
Operator qualifications. The incorrect adjustment of the equipment might have serious consequences
such as damage to the units to be protected and personal injury.
Only expert and duly authorised personnel may operate our units.
Error messages. These must be observed under all circumstances. Their cause must be located and
eliminated.
These may include a number of soldering points, printed circuit boards, terminals from in this connection,
really contacts, etc. Before opening the unit, disconnect the mains voltages from all phases.
External voltages. When turning off the unit, the potential danger from external voltage, return from the
protected unit, should be taken into consideration.
Fuses. Only original fuses must be used in accordance with each unit.
Use the unit for the purpose for which it was designed. The 20/50kVA FIEM must be used only
for the purpose for which it was designed. Any other use is strictly forbidden. ZIGOR cannot accept
responsibility for any damage that might result from its use for any other purpose. In such cases, the
user shall assume exclusive responsibility for any risk. The use for which the unit was designed is
defined in the documentation. The FIEM shall be exposed only to admissible environmental
conditions. These are defined in the technical details provided for the equipment.
Arbitrary modifications are forbidden. The unit shall not be subjected to any modification regarding its
construction or safety without our express permission. Any modification excludes Dionne hard for the
damage caused by the modification. If you use spare parts you must only use the original ZIGOR spare
parts: ZIGOR will not accept any responsibility for the inadequate, negligent or incorrect installation of
the equipment, or the adjustment of the optional operating parameters of the equipment, or its incorrect
connection.
The contents of this manual were exact at the time of printing. However, in order to comply with our
policy of continuous improvement and development, we reserve the right to change the specifications or
operation of the product or the contents of the operation manual without warning.

Sources of danger.
20/50kVA FIEM, live parts are a potential source of danger. Before doing any
work inside the unit, disconnect it from the mains supply.
Voltage in general. The 20/50kVA FIEM works at 230 Vac. These voltages are
dangerous and may cause personal injury in the case of any contact with the
unit's conducting parts.
Live parts located inside the units are considered to be especially dangerous.
