20/50kVA FIEM
The filter is available in two versions: FIME (Plug-in Single Phase Incremental Filter) to be fitted to the
FIEM and the FIM (Single-phase Incremental Filter) which is connectable.
Electromechanical stabilisers only guarantee to maintain the efficient voltage within certain margins but
do not have the speed of response is capable of filtering the energy pulses of the grid. If the grid is
disconnected, they may have to accumulate power that is then sent to the load. When the grid is
connected-disconnected a number of times, these energy pulses can break the normal voltage spike
protectors as the number of times these can operate is limited. It is for this reason that the stabiliser must
be used in addition to an absorption system as the one proposed above.
The following figures show the effect of eliminating overvoltages:
The above illustration shows the over-impulse generated by an inductive load in a grid disconnection.
The second illustration shows how the energy generated by an inductive load is absorbed by the filter
(indicated in the illustration by the arrow
) and the grid voltage without the over pulse.
