5.2 Moving the SkyORB System

The SkyORB anchorage system may be moved as a fully assembled unit using a forklift. Always remove counterweights before transporting
the system. Forks of forklift must be at least 42 inches (1.07m) long (maximum of 60 inches (1.524m) long) and must meet the fork width
requirements as shown in Fig. 5c of 4.3 Personnel, Equipment and Tool Requirements. Forks must be fully inserted into the forklift pockets
of the base and angled upward (as in Step 2 of 5.1 Assembly and Installation Procedure) for greatest stability. Secure the tagline to the
forklift to prevent the boom from swinging when transporting the system.
Please allow at least 6 inches (152.4mm) above connection height values (from ground level to SRL anchor point) for overhead clearance.
Always check for clearance before moving through passageways to avoid damage to the unit or possible tipping. The boom can be lowered
(by disconnecting the cable) to provide overhead clearance of 40 inches (1.02m) less than connection height values (making the unit height
46 inches (1.12m) less than normal height).
When moving the system, the terrain should be fairly level and the base of the unit should be kept close to the ground. Always move forklift
slowly and do not make any sudden movements or stops.
