7.5 Connecting the controller/manual control switch
You can connect the Compact-e-3-EU controller to the lifting column
The lifting column is connected to the external controller.
The controller is not located in the lifting column, it is in the external controller.
7.6 Operating the external controller
Connect the Compact-e-3-EU controller to the lifting column. The hand switch is not connected to the lif-
ting column, it is connected to the controller.
For the operation of the controller and hand switch, please refer to the respective assembly instructions.
Use only the controllers listed in this operating instruction.
This may otherwise lead to damage to the lifting columns or controllers.
Ensure that nobody is in the vicinity of the drive when the lifting column is moving.
Therefore, only use the hand switch if you can see the lifting columns – risk of
accident!
7.7 Putting the lifting column into operation
Only authorised personnel may put a lifting column into operation. The safety regulations and instructions
in these assembly instructions must be read and observed.
Before putting into operation, you must check the lifting column for damage and observe the instructions
for operating the lifting column (see section 7.3). If no damage can be detected, then the lifting column
can be put into operation.
7.7.1 Putting the lifting column into operation with external controller
•
Check that the lifting column is in a safe state.
•
Connect the lifting column connecting cable to the external controller Compact-e-3-EU (see
controller assembly instructions).
•
Where applicable, connect another lifting column to the controller.
•
Connect the hand switch to the controller (see controller assembly instructions).
•
Plug the mains lead of the controller into the mains socket (see controller assembly instruc-
tions).
•
Set the sequence of the lifting column (see controller assembly instructions).
•
Note when raising and lowering the lifting column that this operates the limit switches and at
the same time switches the lifting movement off in the top and bottom end positions. If ir-
regularities should occur during the traversing movements, an initialisation run must be car-
ried out (see controller assembly instructions).
