Dash Disassembly 99-5803 Ford Mustang 2001-2003 1. Unclip the gear shifter trim and remove. 2. Unclip the radio/climate control trim bezel and remove. (Figure A) 3. Remove (2) 7 mm hex head screws from the factory head unit and disconnect the wiring. -

Mercury Cougar: Snap the radio housing into the sub-dash. (Figure B) 2. Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra or AXXESS.
