The height of the wheels of the machine can be adjusted independently, allowing correct
adjustment of the angle of the grinding head.
The front spirit level indicates the lateral tilt
of the machine; the rear spirit level indicates
the height setting of the machine. Under the
grinding arm there is an extra weight of about
5 kg which can be removed when a lower
grinding pressure is needed.
The HTC 130 is equipped with two different
dust covers for grinding wheels of diameters
125 to 180 mm. A connection to a vacuum
cleaner with a 38 mm diameter hose and an
adapter to 50 mm diameter hose are standard
equipment. For dry grinding, the machine
must be connected to a dust separator with
sufficient capacity to ensure a dust-free
environment and to cool the grinding wheel.
Changing the grinding wheel
The HTC 130 can be fitted with a variety of grinding wheels, some of which are fixed with a
screw and others with a burr ("Velcro") fastener. Two wrenches to be used when changing
grinding wheels are supplied with the machine. On the back of the grinding head there is also
a button which locks the driveshaft. To change the grinding wheel, unscrew the flanged nut
holding the grinding wheel, exactly as on an angle grinder.
HTC 130
The Ermator S24 is the smallest dust separator
recommended by HTC.
The HTC 130 can also be used for wet grinding. When the
machine is used for wet grinding, there are advantages in
using its own water supply system. Fill the tank with water.
When water is needed, operate the handle (see illustration).
The water is delivered to the centre of the grinding wheel.
