Notes on Storage (Wintering)
If you are planning to store

your motor longer than 30 days,
empty the tank outdoors before
storing and soak up the remaining
petrol with a lint-free cloth. Then
allow the motor to run until it stops
due to a lack of fuel.
Unscrew the spark plug, pour
1 tablespoon of motor oil into the
cylinder. Turn the motor by slowly
pulling the starter handle so that
the oil is distributed then screw the
spark plug back in.

10. Troubleshooting

General
Faults usually only occur if you do
not operate, care for and maintain
your lawnmower properly. The
following table contains the most
common faults and remedies to
rectify these faults. If you encounter
any other faults, please contact
your closest service centre author-
ised by the manufacturer or an
authorised specialist dealer.
Fault
Abnormal noises,
lawnmower rattles.
Lawnmower does not run smoothly
or vibrates vigorously.
Motor does not start
(Briggs & Stratton motor).
Motor does not start
(Honda motor).
Motor does not start.
Motor starts for a short time then
suddenly stops with a loud bang.

When you have removed dirt and
mowing residue we recommend
that you clean your lawnmower
with a preservative product.
9.4. Storage and maintenance of
Brill power pack A12(e)
Keep the Brill Power pack A12(e)
at a dry, frost-proof place.
Avoid direct insulation.
Make sure that the contacts on
the Brill Power pack A12(e) are
always clean. Remove any dirt

housing are loose.

when starting the motor.

Cylinders, pistons and bearing
of crankshaft have seized.
No motor oil in crankcase.

If you do not use the Brill Power
pack A12(e) for a longer time,
or if you want to store it, you have
to recharge it before. During stor-
age, gradual self-discharge will
occur. Imperatively recharge the
Brill Power pack A12(e) after
longer periods of storage prior to
first use.

charger LG12.

Remedy
Tighten bolts.
Tighten bolt for blade.
Damaged parts must be replaced
at an authorised service centre.
Press the primer several times
(see Putting your Lawnmower
into Operation).
Set the throttle to the "Choke"
position (see Putting your Lawn-
mower into Operation).
Clean spark plug and/or
fill the fuel tank.
Motor overhaul at specialist
workshop required.
