DONNING TECHNIQUE
Before donning a new liner clean it with lukewarm water, and dry it with
lint free cloth as the natural oils in the silicone make it difficult to grip.
1. Turn the liner inside out by gripping the distal end from the inside as
shown in the illustration. (Figure B)
2. Grip the top of the liner and slide it over the hand until the inner sur-
face is fully exposed. (Figure C)
3. Spray the Clean & Simple Lubricant Spray into the inverted liner for
easier roll on. (Figure D)
4. After exposing as much of the distal end of the liner as possible,
position it against the residual limb and with light compression roll
upward onto the limb. Check that no air pockets are present.
(Figure E)
5. Roll the liner all the way up the limb, taking care not to damage it
with fingernails. Do not tug or pull.
6. Ensure the Seals sit horizontally around their full circumference.
NOTE: Be very careful that the inside of the liner is clean, dry and free
from any foreign objects that can cause skin irritation.
NOTE: With use the silicone will soften, which will facilitate application.
Ensure no air pockets are trapped during rolling as this could lead to
skin complaints or excessive perspiration.
Determine Iceross trim-line.
Mark and trim above intended trim-line of hard socket. (Figure F)

NOTE: It is recommended that the Iceross Seal-In
with a Curvemaster. However sharp scissors may be used for the initial
cut.
PREPERATION FOR CASTING
1. Apply single layer of plastic wrap over ICEROSS Seal-In
Ensure all areas are covered. (Figure G)
2. Wrap a single layer of plastic wrap around waist.
3. Apply a pair of casting pants; use shoulder straps to suspend if nec-
essary. (Figure H)
IDENTIFY AND MARK THE FOLLOWING
• Adductor longus tendon
• Anterior superior iliac spine (Figure I)
• Greater trochanter
• Ischial tuberosity
• End of femur on lateral side. Mark proximal trimline (Figure J)
• Anterior, inguinal crease, allowing clearance for anterior superior iliac
spine during full flexion
• Lateral, superior to greater trochanter
• Posterior, containing gluteal muscles
• Medial, containing ischial tuberosity
Suggested measurements:
• Length from perineum to distal end of ICEROSS
• Circumference measures at 3cm intervals down residual limb.
(Important – note) (Figure I)
• Ischial tuberosity to adductor longus tendon
• Medial border of ischial tuberosity to greater trochanter (skeletal
medial/lateral)
• Angle of adduction and flexion of the limb
• Skeletal M/L
• Soft tissue M/L
