• Below ischial tuberosity
NOTE: It is very important that cast surface is smooth as it may affect
the seal of the Seals. (Figure Z)
CHECK SOCKET FITTING
It is advisable to assess the fit with a check socket prior to fabrication of
the final socket.
The Iceross Seal-In
Expulsion Valve 551 (product # L-551000) or 552 (product # L-552000).
Refer to the Icelock Expulsion Valve Instructions For Use for installation
procedure.(Figure A1)
DONNING THE PROSTHESIS
1. Lightly spray the Seals around their full circumference, and inside the
hard socket for smoother entry.
2. Align the prosthesis as instructed by the prosthetist and push into
the hard socket expelling air.
NOTE: If the user is having difficulty donning the prosthesis, more
lubricant may be needed or the valve is blocked.
NOTE: If the user feels the skin of the residual limb is being stretched to
one side after donning the prosthesis, the distribution of the lubricant is
inadequate around the full circumference of the Seals.
CHECKPOINTS

et against lateral movement
• Clearance for pubic ramus and adductor longus tendon Suspension
• Little or no pistoning
• No visible movement with sustained pull
• Rotational stability
• Comfortable forced abduction
• Comfortable flexion and extension
• Full flexion possible whilst maintaining good suspension
