SAFETY AND DETECTION DEVICES
Smoke thermocouple
placed on the smoke exhaust pipe to detect the temperature. It controls the ignition phase and if the temperature is too
high or too low it triggers a block phase (Stop Flame or Overheated Smoke).
Flow sensor
placed on the combustion air inlet pipe. It detects correct air circulation and smoke discharge.
It gives a signal in volts that can be read on the display in the sensor status (only by the Technician). If the flow is
insufficient (due to an INCORRECT smoke output or combustion air input), it blocks the thermal stove.
Feed Screw safety thermostat
placed near the pellet hopper. It disconnects the electrical supply to the gear motor if the temperature detected is too high.
Water temperature sensor
detects the water temperature in the thermal stove and transmits this to the information card to manage the pump and
adjust the power.
If the temperature is too high, a block phase is triggered.
Water overheating safety thermostat
detects the water temperature in the thermal stove. If this is too high, it triggers the shutdown process by disconnecting
the electrical supply to the gear motor.
If the thermostat has been triggered, e.g. following a black-out, it must be reset by pressing the reset button
at the back of the thermal stove.
Overpressure valve
upon reaching the pressure stipulated on the plate, the system is triggered to discharge the water and consequently the
water must be topped up.
ATTENTION!!!! Remember to connect a drain.
Manometer
placed on the side of the thermal stove, it allows you to read the water pressure in the thermal stove. With the thermal
stove running, the recommended pressure is 1/1.5 bar.
IF THE THERMAL STOVE BLOCKS, THE REASON WILL APPEAR ON THE DISPLAY AND THIS WILL BE
SAVED.
Components
Resistance
triggers pellet combustion. It remains on until the smoke temperature increases by 15 °C from that prior to ignition.
Smoke extractor
'forces' the smoke out and draws in combustion air by depression.
Gear motor
activates the feed screw, which allows the pellets to be transferred from the hopper to the combustion chamber.
Pump (circulator)
'forces' the water towards the system. Maximum prevalence 5 metres. Max. capacity 1.5 m3/h.
Closed expansion tank
'absorbs' changes in the volume of the water contained in the thermal stove.
A heating technician must evaluate the need to add a second tank to the existing one, depending on total amount of water
in the system.
Manual bleed valve:
placed on the upper part, it 'bleeds' out any air that may be present.
Drain tap
placed inside the lower part of the thermal stove. This is to be opened if the water inside the thermal stove must be
emptied.
