Safety measures

Please read all instructions carefully before installing and wiring the solar system. Keep this
user manual to hand for future reference.
WARNING: Risk of electric shock at solar panels
Solar panels can produce hazardous voltages whenever exposed to sunlight. Even when
not in full sunlight.
Therefore, when working with solar panels or connecting cables during the daytime,
cover solar panels with an opaque material.
WARNING: Risk of electric shock when fuses are installed
When carrying out any work on the solar panel, loads or battery, make sure that fuses for
the solar system are not installed in the fuse terminal blocks of the control cabinet
electronics.
Before carrying out any work on the solar system, remove the three fuses from the
fuse terminal blocks in the control cabinet in the specified order (1. Solar panel,
2. Battery, 3. Loads). This will isolate the voltage sources from the circuit.
WARNING: Risk of electric shock at the battery
The system has two batteries which are operated in series. When installing batteries,
please note that there is a risk of personal injury due to short circuits and damage may be
caused to the system.
Take particular care when installing the batteries in the control cabinet.
Avoid short circuits between the [+] and [–] battery poles, e.g., caused by a tool or
control cabinet parts.
Only use insulated tools.
When installing the battery, connect the positive pole [+] first. When removing the
battery, disconnect the negative pole [–] first.
Make sure that the connecting cables are fitted securely.
Do not lift up or pull the battery by the battery poles.
Avoid shocks and sudden loads on the batteries.
Despite the very low gas emission of the battery, do not install any sparking parts
(switches, relays or similar) in the direct vicinity of the battery.
If the battery is operated at its operating temperature limits, this may reduce the
service life of the battery (depending on duration, charge, etc.).
WARNING: Risk of electrical contact resistance and mechanical overload
During the operating life of the solar system, changes may occur at the mechanical and
electrical connections due to environmental influences.
Check all mechanical and electrical connections to ensure that they are fixed securely
and/or not damaged.
