sing of a chlorine product which, in this case, is sodium
hypochlorite If we establish a Set Point, for example of
2 ppm of ClF when the reading value is lower than 2 –as
lower as the hysteresis – the instrument will initiate the
dosing of sodium hypoclorite until a reading of 2 ppm ClF
The recommended ClF set point value is 2 ppm.
Press the arrow keys until the desired value is reached.
Press ENTER for 5 seconds to validate.
Now the screen displays Hysteresis CLF.
The hysteresis is the range of values that fix the starting
up for dosing to keep the set point value. For example, if
the set point for CLF is 2 and the hysteresis 0,2 the sys-
tem will start the dosing operation when the instrument
reaches a reading of 1,8 pH and will stop at 2.
The range for hysteresis is from 0,01 to 0,5.
The hysteresis value from manufacturer is 0,2.
Press the arrow keys until the desired value is reached.
Press ENTER for 5 seconds to validate.
At this moment the reading of CLF on the screen is
showed in intermittent. This situation inform us that the
CLF has to be checked directly in the pool. See point
F8 Adjusting estimated ClF measurement in the
pool. After this measurement, the screen will finish the
intermittent.
F4 NUMBER OF IMPULSES PER MINUTE
This function enables regulation of the dosage flow volu-
me. When at maximum flow volume, the pumps operate
at 150 impulses per minute, i.e., 100% of the nominal flow
(5 litres per hour or 10 litres per hour, depending on the
model).
Press the FUNCTION key until reaching F4. The screen
displays Nº. of impulses per minute.
The 5 l/h pump has a volume of 0.56 cubic centimetres
per impulse.
150 imp./min: 5,0 l/h
125 imp./min: 4,2 l/h
100 imp./min: 3,3 l/h
75 imp./min.: 2,5 l/h
Select the flow volume desired using the arrow keys and
validate the reading with ENTER.
The instrument regulates proportionality the dosing
speed by reducing 50% the imps/ min when the reading
value reaches the 40% of the hysteresis range –for pH
and ClF as well.

50 imp./min: 1,67 l/h
25 imp./min: 0,83 l/h
10 imp./min: 0,33 l/h
5 imp./min: 0,17 l/h
Over this value, the speed is the range of imp/min esta-
blished with this function F4.
The instrument regulates proportionality the dosing
speed by reducing 50% the imps/ min when the reading
value reaches the 40% of the hysteresis range –for pH

Over this value, the speed is the range of imp/min esta-
blished with this function F4.
F5 TIMING ALARMS
This function makes it possible to activate and deactivate
the alarms. It is also the function that enables us to modi-
fy the timing of each alarm.
A1. STABILIZATION: When the water starts to circulate
through the probe holder a period of stabilization is
started: during this time the readings of the pH and
ClF values do not activate a dosing procedure until the
amount of water circulating through the probe holder is
substantial. In this way it is possible to avoid erroneous
doses induced by non representative readings of the
water in the pool.
The range of stabilization time is from 10 seconds up to
60 minutes. The best time depends on the length of the
pipe up to the swimming-pool.
Press the FUNCTION key until you come to F5 Alarms
–Temporization of alarms. Press ENTER:
The screen displays the stabilization time.
Press ENTER and fix the time desired through the arrow
keys. Press ENTER to validate.
A2. pH PUMP ALARM: This alarm shows us that after a
certain – adjustable – length of time of acid dosing it has
not been possible to reduce the value of pH by 0.2 pH
units. This situation indicates that there exists some pro-
blem in the acid dosage line. The problems can be quite
diverse: breakage of the impulse pipe, defective chemical
product, etc. Due to the danger that these anomalies can
represent, the alarm halts the dosage and the equipment
will remain on STAND-BY.
The screen displays pH Pump Alarm.
In order to deactivate this alarm, the system needs to
be reinitiated by means of the general switch. The time
duration ranges from 10 seconds to up to 60 minutes.
In order to establish the time duration, fix the duration
desired by using the arrows and validating the value by
means of the ENTER key.
To cancel this alarm use the arrow keys increasing the
time up to find OFF position.
Press ENTER for 5 seconds to validate.
A3. CL PUMP ALARM: This alarm shows us that after
a certain – adjustable – length of time of dosing with so-
dium hypochlorite it has not been possible to reduce the
