INSTALLATION A) PUMP LOCATION: The pump should be installed in a clean, dry and ventilated location which provides adequate drainage and room for servicing and protection from freezing temperatures. It should be bolted down evenly on a good foundation, preferably concrete, to prevent the development of unnecessary stress. -

OPERATION WARNING DO NOT RUN THE PUMP BEFORE PRIMING IT; THE SEAL AND IMPELLER COULD BE PERMANENTLY DAMAGED. A) PRIMING: Remove the priming plug located on the top of the pump casing and fill the casing with water. Replace the priming plug. B) PRIMING UNDER PRESSURE (Figure 1): To prime under pressure, place a check valve on the discharge line of the pump and a petcock or a ball-type air bleeder in place of the priming plug, or an air bleed line with a gate valve connected to the discharge line. -

INSTALLATION A) EMPLACEMENT DE LA POMPE : La pompe doit être installée dans un endroit propre, sec et ventilé qui offre un drainage adéquat, de l’espace pour l’entretien et une protection contre le gel. INSTALACIÓN A) UBICACIÓN DE LA BOMBA: La bomba debe instalarse en un lugar limpio, seco y ventilado que proporcione un drenaje adecuado, espacio suficiente para tareas de mantenimiento y protección contra temperaturas bajo cero. Se debe atornillar uniformemente sobre una buena base, de preferencia de hormigón, para evitar cargas innecesarias. -

FUNCIONAMIENTO ADVERTENCIA NO PONGA EN FUNCIONAMIENTO LA BOMBA ANTES DE CEBARLA; EL SELLO Y EL IMPULSOR PODRÍAN DAÑARSE PERMANENTEMENTE. A) CEBADO: Quite el tapón de cebado ubicado en la parte superior de la carcasa de la bomba y llénela con agua. Vuelva a colocar el tapón de cebado. B) CEBADO BAJO PRESIÓN (Figura 1): Para cebar bajo presión, coloque una válvula de retención en la línea de descarga de la bomba y una llave de purga o un purgador de aire tipo bola en lugar del cebador, o bien una línea de purga de aire con una válvula de compuerta conectada a la línea de descarga. -
