ATTENTION
All maintenance and cleaning operations must be performed with the mains power supply
disconnected.
As some parts of the awning are in painted plastic (e.g.: the casings), do not use aggressive
products (such as solvents, ammonia, petrol) to clean the product as these may remove the
colour of the paint.
Careful cleaning of the awning fabric is vital for protecting it from mould caused by deposits of dust
or other material on the fabric; clean by removing the dust or using a sponge or cloth dampened
in warm water. Dry the fabric after cleaning.
The KEV awning is fitted with water drainage on the terminal, which has a collection groove in
which water runs to the right and to the left and is then ejected from the two caps at the sides of
the terminal. The user should periodically clean the drainage groove and caps, as residue from rain,
wind etc. may jeopardise proper drainage.
ATTENTION
If a ladder is required during maintenance, make sure that it is regulatory and firmly placed
on the ground in order to prevent it from tipping and causing serious injury to people.
If the awning is installed on a floor higher than the ground floor, the person cleaning the
awning must pay greater attention to the risk of falling.
The following operations, if performed at the indicated frequencies, will keep the product in good
condition.

Inspect the fabric for tears or broken stitching
Open the awning about halfway and lubricate moving
parts with silicone oil:
• Lubricate the chain (ref. 1 fig. 2), the hinge (ref. 2 fig.
2) and the shoulder of the arms (ref. 3 fig. 2)
• Lubricate the cap on the opposite side to the drive
(ref. 4 fig. 2)
Clean the drainage groove (ref. 5 fig. 2) and the two
caps (ref. 6 fig. 2) of rain and wind residue.
