Installation is identical to that of guard trac™
plus, see section 7.4.1.
After installation, the 2 pins (rep.1 fg.5) must be
inserted to ensure stability between the 3 half
barriers.
IMPORTANT: After inserting the pins, the
ball of each pin should be visible (rep.2
fg.5).
DANGER: It is forbidden to place any
interface between the laying surface
of the counterweight and the roof
sealant. The laying surface of the counterweight
has been specially designed to ensure optimum
adhesion to the roof sealant specified in section
3.
DANGER: The openings between
peripheral
structures should be as small as
possible, and never be over 120 mm.
8. Lifespan, periodic inspections,
maintenance and servicing
8.1. Lifespan
The life span of the guard trac™ or guard trac™
plus is maximum 10 years from the date of
manufacture, provided that it has been used and
maintained in accordance with the installation
and maintenance instructions in this manual
and stored according to the instructions for
storing this same manual.
At the end of this ten year period following
manufacture, only a person qualified, trained
and certified by Tractel
to service after inspection of the guardrail and
pronouncement of its fitness for use.

8.2. Maintenance
If a counterweight is dirty and/or the Sm (fig. 6)
installation surface of the counterweight is dirty,
wash it with clear, cold water and possibly a
detergent for delicate textiles. Use a synthetic
brush.
8.3. Servicing the equipment
DANGER: guard trac™ or guard trac™
plus guardrail servicing is mandatory
in the following cases:
1.
In the event of an anomaly revealed during
inspection, whether annual or not (see
section 8-1), or as soon as an operating
fault or degraded state is noted.
2.
When the guard trac™ or guard trac™ plus
has arrested a falling person.
3.
When the guard trac™ or guard trac™ plus
shows
abnormal
components.
4.
When one or more counterweights show
signs
of
shearing
installation surfaces or dirt.
5.
When, during installation, you experience
difficulty in inserting parts (jamming of
counterweights, barriers or others).
8.4 Post-installation and annual
checks.
An inspection must be carried out after
installation in compliance with the inspection
sheet. Fill in the date of the next annual
