II.2.5.3
Connection of pipes by means of hard braze
welding
By definition, brazing is considered hard if the temperature of the filler
material is greater than 450°C, while still remaining below the melting
temperature of the materials to be joined.
DANGER!
Hard brazing must be carried out by qualified
personnel.
DANGER!
Do NOT braze near flammable substances. Properly
ventilate the work area. Work in a safe position.
DANGER!
Use suitable individual protection gear.
Cut the connection pipes at the set distance, leaving a certain safety
margin and bearing in mind the indicated instructions.
Eliminate any cutting burr while keeping the pipe opening facing
downwards to prevent the ingress of debris.
Right
IMPORTANT!
The area of the pipe around the joint must be
carefully cleaned and deoxidised. This is necessary
in order to ensure the mechanical seal of the
brazing.

Connection should be preceded by adapting the diameters by means of
sockets or tapering, according to needs. A visual inspection should be
made of the ends of the pipes which are to be joined: they should be
free of irregular deformation, scoring and cracking.
The joint must be made by hard brazing. The operation must be carried
out by a qualified technician in accordance with the rules laid down in
the standard prEN 14276.
Hard brazing must be performed with the pipes disconnected from the
machine, so as to avoid dangerous overheating and excessive
pressures which are dangerous for the components and the operators.
Cover the refrigeration lines with suitable insulation.
II.2.5.4
Refrigerant charge
DANGER!
The refrigerant gas contained in the machine may
be at a high pressure. Use suitable individual
protection gear during installation, maintenance
and repair.
The CCAm series condensers are supplied pressurized with nitrogen.
The TCEE evaporator units (if present) are supplied with a charge of
R407C refrigerant for testing on our production line.
For correct installation and startup of the system, the following
operations must be performed:
• clean the refrigeration circuit connected to the evaporator.
• create a vacuum in the aforementioned circuit
• charge the system with a sufficient amount of R407C gas
Attention
The quantity of refrigerant added to the system because of the length of
the pipes has an effect on the oil and can cause a shortage (the oil
being mixable with freon). It is therefore very important to check the
level of oil in the compressor carefully, and top it up if necessary (for the
type of oil to use, always refer to the instructions on the plate on the
compressor).
