Charging the Internal Battery

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 6.3.
1. To charge the internal battery, do one of the following:
• Connect the AC power adapter (if charging from a wall
outlet) to the input power connector located on the side
of the unit and then plug the other end of the power
adapter into the power source.
• Connect the DC power adapter (if charging from a
vehicle) to the input power connector located on the
side of the unit and then plug the other end of the
power adapter into the power source.
NOTE: If internal battery is completely discharged, it will fully
charge in approximately 3 to 4 hours. The battery gauge will
illuminate during charging. It is recommended to recharge the
internal battery, even if only partially depleted, as often as possible.
