Section 1: Indications
1.1

Indications for Ultrasonic Prophylaxis Procedures

Indicated for Fluid Delivery to Ultrasonic Scaler Units for Ultrasonic Prophylaxis Procedures.

Indicated for Fluid Delivery to Air Polishing Prophylaxis Units for Air Polishing Procedures.
Section 2: Contraindications
• The DualSelect
Dispensing System is not indicated for use with medicaments other than those found in Section 9.2.
• Where asepsis is required or deemed appropriate in the best professional judgement of the Dental Healthcare professional, this product
should not be used.
Section 3: Warnings
• When using the DualSelect
1. Using water containing fewer than 200 Colony Forming Units/milliliter during dental procedures.
2. Following required maintenance.
• Do not operate the system unless Shield is closed.
Section 4: General Precautions
• The system is portable and must be handled with care when
moved.
• Equipment flushing and air purging maintenance are required.
[See Section 11: System Care]
• If dental office water is used, close the dental unit water shut-off
valve at the end of the work day.
• Fluid leakage may occur if Shield is opened with Selector Knob
in "A" or "B" position.
• Some medicaments may stain the system and/or bottles.
• To avoid increased biofilm formation, clean water is
recommended for flushing the system. [See Section 11: System Care]

Dispensing System as a closed line system, avoid increased biofilm formation by:
• The system is not designed to achieve sterility but can assist you
in complying with CDC and ADA guidelines by offering a closed
line option and dispensing clean water (less than 200 Colony
Forming Units/milliliter).
• It is the Dental Health Care Professional's responsibility to
understand and comply with CDC, ADA and any applicable
agency guidelines and requirements.
• During boil-water advisories, this product should not be
operated as an open water system (e.g. connected to a public
water system). Dental Health Care Professional should
discontinue use on patients and contact the local water authority
to determine when it is safe to continue use of this product.
When the advisory is cancelled, the local water authority should
provide guidance for flushing of waterlines. All incoming
waterlines from the public water system inside the dental office
(e.g., faucets, waterlines, and dental equipment) should be flushed
in accordance with manufacturer's instructions for a period of 2
to 5 minutes.
