USER MANUAL
Your car is equipped with an original protection system against break-ins, controlled by the vehicle's original remote control/keyless fob. After locking the
car, the alarm system protects against opening the bonnet, doors or boot (perimeter protection), against penetration inside (volumetric protection), against
removal of the car (anti-lift sensor) and disconnects the vehicle's battery.
The vehicle has an acoustic signal device called "acoustic unit" (self-powered siren). If one of the above mentioned events should occur, the alarm is activated.
The acoustic unit will sound for 28 seconds, followed by a pause of 5 seconds, and the indicator lights will fl ash for the entire duration of the acoustic signal. If
the event continues or repeats itself, the alarm will be activated for up to 10 times for the same function that started the alarm.
The acoustic unit can be silenced at any moment if the door opening button is activated on the vehicle's original remote control/keyless fob.
The system also provides sound and luminous feedback to indicate the various operating or fault statuses. Long beep lasting 2 seconds, short beep lasting
0.2 seconds and indicator lights fl ashing..
NORMAL ACTIVATION
BRIEF pressure on the door locking button on the original remote control/keyless fob will activate the alarm system, the indicator lights will fl ash twice and the
acoustic unit will emit 1 short confi rmation beep. All protection system sensors will be active after 40 seconds. The windows and the sunroof must be closed
prior to activation in order to prevent false alarms. The vehicle's locking command will NOT cause ACTIVATION of the security system if a door or the bonnet is
open, or if the original remote control/keyless fob is in the reception area.
NOTE: The activation mode of normal protection is automatically activated when, although no locking button has been pressed on the original remote control/
keyless fob, you move away from the area around the car with the remote control/keyless fob. Also in this case activation after automatic insertion is signalled by the
acoustic unit with 1 short beep.
Activation with exclusion of the volumetric protection
The volumetric protection can be disabled by holding down the locking button on the original remote control/keyless fob for 5 se-

conds. When the volumetric protection has been disabled, the acoustic unit will sound 3 short beeps. This procedure will nevertheless
keep the anti-lift and perimeter protections active.
Activation with exclusion of the anti-lift sensor
The alarm can be activated without the additional protection off ered by the anti-lift sensor. This protection can be deactivated by turning the da-
shboard on 3 times (see fi gure) and locking the vehicle with BRIEF pressure on the locking button on the original remote control/keyless fob, within
a maximum of 50 seconds. Activation of the system without activation of the anti-lift sensor will be signalled by the acoustic unit with 4 short beeps.
This procedure will nevertheless keep the volumetric and perimeter protections active.
Activation with simultaneous exclusion of the volumetric and anti-lift protections
The alarm can be activated keeping only the perimeter protection. This mode can be activated by turning the dashboard on 3 times (see fi gure) and
locking the vehicle with prolonged pressure (about 5 seconds) on the locking button on the original remote control/keyless fob, within a maximum
of 50 seconds. Activation of the system without volumetric protection and anti-lift sensor will be signalled by the acoustic unit with 5 short beeps.
This procedure will nevertheless keep the perimeter protection active.
NOTE1: After activation of the alarm, the system can exclude (if activated) or activate (if previously excluded) the volumetric protection by BRIEF pressure on the
locking button on the original remote control/keyless fob.
NOTE2: Any activation mode with exclusion of the volumetric and/or anti-lift protection remains active only until the system is deactivated.
DEACTIVATION OF THE SECURITY SYSTEM
Upon authorised opening of the car, with the door opening button on the original remote control/keyless fob or by approaching the vehicle with the original
remote control/keyless fob, the security system will deactivate and the indicator lights will fl ash once. If an alarm was detected since the last activation of the
protection system, deactivation will cause the acoustic unit to sound 4 short beeps to alert the user of said alarm.

EMERGENCY STOP

When the original remote control/keyless fob does not work (fl at battery, area with high electromagnetic interference), the system can be urgently deactiva-
ted as follows: open the vehicle with the mechanical key inside the original remote control/keyless fob; open the door (the acoustic unit will sound); turn the
dashboard on (put the original remote control/keyless fob near to the START/STOP button and press said button). This way the alarm will stop, the protection
system will be deactivated and the acoustic unit will sound 4 short beeps.
DIAGNOSIS UPON ACTIVATION
The security system provides notifi cation features to the user:
• In the alarm system activation status, if the vehicle has the engine bonnet open, the system will sound 3 long beeps, separated by a 1 second pause. By
correctly re-closing it, the protection system will automatically monitor the bonnet as well.
• After each activation, the alarm system controls the status and communication of its sensor and acoustic unit modules. If the volumetric protection sy-
stem has a fault, the system sounds 2 long beeps separated by a 1 second pause, whilst with 5 fl ashes of the indicator lights a malfunction of the acoustic
unit is indicated. In these cases, please refer to a Renault Assistance Centre.
