beFOre UsInG the thermOmeter FOr the FIrst tIme
1. Read these instructions of use with care and store them in a safe place.
2. Make sure that the thermometer was not damaged during transport.
3. Before using the thermometer for the first time, you must leave the Promed Irt-60 in the
room for 10 – 15 minutes in order for it to adjust to the room temperature.

OPeratInG the UnIt

Prior to initial commissioning, please remove the contact protection strip from the battery. To do
this, please proceed as described under "Battery change".
In order to switch on the thermometer, press the button(F); Information illuminated in green is
shown on the display (b). This indicates that the thermometer is operable.
In order to carry out a measurement, hold the thermometer in such a way that the measuring
sensor (a) is at a distance of 3 – 5cm to the surface to be measured and press the measuring
button (D) once. You then hear a short beep and can read the measuring result from the display
(b). For each measurement, the indicator light (c) simultaneously lights up blue.
You can then switch off the thermometer by pressing the button (F) once. If you do not switch off
the thermometer, it will switch off automatically after 30 seconds.
