After re� lling, the machine must be started at
a distance of at least 15 metres from the fuel
container or re� lling location.
Fuel should be stored out of the reach of
children in a clearly marked and approved
container.
Safety directions for area of application
The machine must only be used outdoors.
The exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide
and hydrocarbons that are highly dangerous
to humans and animals if inhaled.
Never use in high winds or heavy rain or in
poor visibility.
Only use the machine in daylight.
Never use the machine when standing on
a ladder or similar and do not climb trees
whilst carrying the machine, unless you are
specially trained to do so. Always ensure you
are standing � rmly and safely on the ground.
Watch your footing when using the machine.
Sawn branches and hedge clippings on the
ground represent a safety risk if you trip over
them while working.
Plan your work. Check that you and others
will not be hit by falling or ejected objects.
The engine parts become hot when in use.
Avoid touching them and do not put the
machine down on in� ammable materials
(dry grass, dry leaves, etc.) whilst the engine
is hot.
Store � ammable materials at a safe distance
from the engine, as the exhaust gases are
very hot and may ignite such materials.

Always use protective gloves when handling
the blade.
Caution: the machine may vibrate very
heavily or kick back if the blade hits hard
objects.
Ensure that you do not accidentally cut
power or telephone cables, etc. and always
make sure there are no other people or

trimmer
Caution: the hedge trimmer may vibrate very
heavily or kick back if the blade hits hard
objects.
Do not use the hedge trimmer to cut
anything other than hedges.
Ensure that you do not accidentally cut
power or telephone cables, etc. and always
make sure there are no other people or
animals near the blade when starting or
using the hedge trimmer.
Always � t the protective rails onto the blade
when transporting or storing the hedge
trimmer.
Safety directions for use as a pruning saw
Always ensure there is suffi cient chain oil
in the tank and that the chain is � led and
lubricated.
Always saw with the underside of the blade
where possible and avoid sawing with the tip
of the blade.
