Service
During cleaning and service of the unit, the unit should be
disconnected from the power supply.
Th e fi ne fi lter should be changed at least once per year. If
the machine is used with a microfi lter/HEPA fi lter, this
should be changed every 300 running hours. Use breathing
protection when changing the fi lter. Care must be taken
during the fi lter change not to expose unprotected persons
to harmful dust. Used fi lters should be sealed in a plastic
sack and disposed properly.
Check regularly that the electrical cable is not damaged.
Th e DC 2900a/c/Auto should be performance tested at
least once per year because it may be used with hazardous
materials. Worn parts must be replaced.
Filter change:
Remove the motor head. Lift the fi lter straight up out of the
cyclone. When required, a plastic sack can be placed over
the cyclone for dust-free fi lter change. Th e fi lter is lifted
directly into the sack.
During the fi lter change, check the fi lter gasket. A dam-
aged gasket can allow the release of hazardous dust. Never
use old gaskets or after-market fi lters. Use only genuine
Dustcontrol spare parts to maintain the unit for use on
hazardous dusts.
